I recall a lot of 2-stroke bikes used to have a finned "doughnut" right at the headpipe/head junction. These dissipate heat & seemingly keep the head pipe cooler. I wonder if there is an aftermarket bolt-on or slide-on unit that could be adapted to the Savage pipe?
